David Yurman Jewelry

While at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa the other day I was stopped in my tracks with the jewelry displayed in the David Yurman windows.

I always thought of casual jewelry made of sterling silver, semi precious stones, and small amounts of white gold when I thought of David Yurman but that is not the case at all. Yurman makes very fine jewelry with precious stones of 18k gold in necklaces, bracelets, rings, and alike. I’m a huge new fan.

When I entered the store I asked “where are the shopping carts?” as I knew there was going to be so many things I would love to be taking home.  These three things below are now stuck in my brain. Hardly casual rather instead stunning pieces anyone would love to own and wear.  Additionally, turns out there is a large resale market for David Yurman jewelry so that is always very good to know, although I can’t see ever letting these treasures go once I got them.

Yurman is most noted for his ‘cable bracelets’ which are his signature pieces for both men and women. What started with just a few styles has turned into a very wide variety that includes leather,  beads, rubber, maritime rope, gold, silver, precious jewel, as well as diamonds, and that is just for the mens bracelets.  If fact, I count over 188 bracelet styles just for the men!

For women there are now about 400 styles of bracelets from sterling silver to all pave diamonds. $1000.00 to $37,000.00 from what I see.  So many options it would be a struggle to pick only one.

Yurman designs are worn by some of the most high profile celebrities such as Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Katy Perry, Catherine Deneuve, Kanye West, Katy Perry, and more

The Yurmans are committed to charity and created the David & Sybil Yurman Humanitarian and Arts Foundation. The foundation presents awards to those who support charities and the arts through their donations and volunteerism. Past recipients include Steven Spielberg, Elton John, and Leonard Slatkin. Yurman also created a pin for the Silver Shield Foundation benefitting the families of New York City firefighters and policemen. As a long time horseback rider, David Yurman supports a number of charitable equestrian initiatives as well.
