Dinnerware produced by Gladding, McBean & Company and was marketed under the brand Franciscan in the 1930’s. This popular starburst pattern was part of Franciscan’s “Modern Americana” dinnerware collection and was manufactured between 1954 and 1966. It is often called the “Atomic Starburst” by collectors and has dramatically increased in value the past few years.
This ‘atomic’ pattern is in such high demand it has even been reproduced in both ceramic and plastic.
